The International Academy for Arbitration Law (Arbitration Academy /Académie internationale du droit de l’arbitrage) was created to address the increasing demand for specialized teaching in international arbitration. The Academy provides advanced Summer three-week Courses in Paris to students and young practitioners interested in international arbitration. The Curriculum is conceived by international arbitration academics and practitioners to cover all aspects of international arbitration, and the Courses are taught by the most renowned experts in the fields of international commercial arbitration and international investment arbitration. The Curriculum includes a 15-hour General Course, alternating between international commercial arbitration and international investment arbitration, 5-hour Special Courses on specific topics, as well as Workshops on institutional arbitration offered by different arbitral institutions. The Courses will be preceded by an Inaugural Lecture given by a prominent arbitration figure. The Berthold Goldman Lecture will be be an opportunity to revisit historic arbitration stories.
